Patriotic Spring Sing

Every year the girls' school has a "Spring Sing"  where the kids dress in red white and blue, and perform all the patriotic songs they have learned that year.  Families come a little early and have a picnic dinner before the show starts.  Good singing girls!

I made this dress for her for Easter.  My first real accomplishment with the sewing machine (other than halloween costumes).  Doesn't she look beautiful in it?

Treasure HuntWe went on a "treasure" hunt in the woods.  We made a long list of things that we could search for then we went-a-hunting!  Aubree took pictures of some of the things we found:

  A log we could walk across

A heart shaped rock

A "T" shaped stick

A purple rock

A comfortable "rock chair"

              Evidence of animals.... Kate's pointing to some deer poop.    I'll spare you the close-up of the poo.

 The Horny Toad

We found a honey toad as we were walking down the creek-side trail.  Aubree befriended it and claimed it as her pet.
