Rock Climbing @ Coon's Bluff

We went rock climbing with the Farr family at Coon's Bluff, a park on the Salt River.  It was a perfect spot for the whole family to do some rock climbing... and for the adults to do a long rapel.  We had a picnic lunch there, and then we spent the day climbing, playing, and hiking.

A Dessert Hike

Summer was approaching so we thought we should get the kids out hiking the nearby trails... before it was too hot.  We took them on a trail in the Superstition Mountains.  This trail begins near Peralta trail head in the Superstitions, but goes to the right and into a lush (meaning lots of cactus) desert valley.  On the trail, Aubree was pleasant, but seemed to be struggling a little... and she's usually a great hiker!  Well.... the next day she came down with Strept throat! 

Piano Recital

The girls did great at their spring piano recital.  Aubree played the Siamese Cat song from Lady and the Tramp, and Maya played "French Children's Song".
