Christma Eve and Christmas Morning

We wanted to make Christmas Eve special for the girls, so they dressed up and we had a fancy dinner. We roasted a turkey and served the meal on the "breakables" with a nice table cloth, candle light, and water gobblets filled with sparkling cider.... the whole works! (and not a glass was broken! Amazing!) After dinner we acted out the Nativity scene with words and song.

Then they opened up their Christmas Eve Pajama gifts. And were off to bed!

Christmas Morning we opened up gifts and had our favorite breakfast... Cinnamon Swirl French Toast with Fresh Fruit and Buttermilk Syrup. I never get very many good pictures of Christmas morning! I just like to sit back and enjoy the time with the family.
The girls each recieved a musical Jewelry box with a ballerina that spins when the box is opened. I had a friend that had one of those when I was little and I thought it was the most enchanting thing! Luckily.... they thought so too! =)
They also received the "Loving Family" doll house characters, and some doll house furniture. The little people hands-on Nativity scene was also a favorite.

And after all the gifts and candy, Ella and Kate kept going back to........ the pistatios! Who knew that would be the favorite on Christmas morning!? A great stocking treat.
